Our Musical Director

Our Musical Director, Kevin Morgan, joined the band in August 2000 and has had a long and fruitful career in community music.

A former member of the Band of the Scots Guards in the United Kingdom he came to Australia in the mid 1980's. Since that time he has been the musical director of many community bands including Coburg Brass Band, Footscray-Yarraville Band, Oakleigh Brass Band and the Greater Dandenong Band. Kevin was also the Director of Music at Mazenod College in the early 1990s.

A highly sought after brass musician, Kevin is a cornet and trumpet player by trade but is just as happy on any other brass instrument. It is this knowledge of the brass family and his exceptional musicality and score interpretation that have led to Kevin having played lead roles in many bands in Victoria.
