Performances

The Frankston City Band won its first contest in 19 years when it won the D grade section of the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod held in Traralgon on September 2000.

In a spirited performance the band played the march "The Medallion", "Leningrad", "The Bass in the Ballroom" and "The Lincolnshire Poacher". The result was close with the band edging out the previous winners by just 3 points.

Needless to say, the band was ecstatic with its win and is looking forward to a busy contest schedule next year.

Other performances in recent months have included the launch of the boating season at the Sandringham Yacht Club, the Frankston Christmas Parade and Carols by Candlelight at Chelsea and Frankston.
