Performances
The band has a number of regular performances throughout the year at various venues around Dandenong and Melbourne. These include:


In addition, the band has had a number of other notable performances in recent times including a combined concert with the Moreland-Brunswick Band conducted by George Dreyfus, a renowned composer for Brass Bands and television and cinema.

The band regularly holds "Cabarets" and last year put on a Cabaret with Guest star Patti Newton.

In the past the band has also staged Mayoral Charity Concerts at Robert Blackwood Hall with great success.

Other notable performances have included

  • An appearance on Channel 10s "Neighbours"
  • The Myer Christmas Parade in Melbourne
  • The Victorian Football Association Grand Finals


Contest Results
The City of Greater Dandenong Band has been in B grade since December 1984 and has regularly attended various contests and performed admirably, achieving a consistently high standard.

Significant results in B grade include

  • 2000 - 3rd place at the Australian National Band Championships and highest placed Victorian Band
  • 1999 - WON Victorian State Championships at Ballarat
  • 1999 - WON Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod at Traralgon
  • 1999 - 2nd Place at the Australian National Band Championships
  • 1998 - 2nd Place at the Australian National Band Championships and highest score on the test piece
  • 1985 - WON Australian National Championships B Grade


The City of Greater Dandenong Band was in A grade between 1971 and 1984 and during this time won the Victorian State Championships in 1977 and 1979.
